Sales-website notification in Vietnam 2026 (formerly: Ministry of Industry and Trade)

From 1 July 2026, websites with online ordering must still be notified, but the filing goes through the National Public Service Portal and is confirmed by the provincial People's Committee (no longer the Ministry of Industry and Trade). Weme helps prepare the policies and documents and display the notified information on your website.

Frequently asked questions

Which websites must be notified?

From 1 July 2026 (E-commerce Law 122/2025/QH15, Decree 248/2026/ND-CP), websites selling a business's own goods or services with online ordering must be notified through the National Public Service Portal; the provincial People's Committee confirms within 3 working days when the file is complete and valid. Websites that only present information without online ordering are usually not covered.

What if I notified the Ministry of Industry and Trade before 1 July 2026?

Existing files follow the transitional rules. When your website or company details change, check the new guidance on the National Public Service Portal or ask Weme to review it.

What does a website consist of?

A working website needs 3 parts: a domain (the address, e.g. company.com), hosting (where the data is stored) and the source code/interface (what visitors see and the admin panel). Weme handles all three so you don't have to deal with several providers.

What about warranty and maintenance?

Technical defects are covered for the warranty period in the contract. After that you can use the Care plan: Weme tests your forms weekly, monitors downtime, scans for injected links, backs up regularly and responds to critical incidents within 4 working hours.
